Black Trans Prayer Book #BTPB

This is a season when prayer is an essential resource and sustenance for our communities!  We pray in so many ways and from so many different places. The timing of the Black Trans Prayer Book couldn’t be more ideal.

This convening of Black trans artists, poets, musicians, and theologians, curated by J Mase III and Lady Dane Figueroa Edidi, will bring together practitioners from across the country (and possibly beyond) to  create a soulful, truthful gift to sustain and uplift!

They will host a four day writing retreat with collaborators from all over the United States. Through the participants collective and collaborative expertise in writing and spiritual practices, they will create something powerful and relevant to the current climate of attacks against trans folks of color across the country -- creating not just a retreat, not just a book, but a movement in theological work that centers Black liberation and Trans liberation theologies.

Such a resource needs to make its way into the hands of every Black trans person and every faith leader on the planet! Transfaith is delighted to join in as a supportive partner and fiscal sponsor for this endeavor.

There is still time to lend your support to #BlackTransPrayerBook!
